Please read these terms before ordering The Manor. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. The Nordic Nuances store is operated by Nordic Nuances LLC ("Nordic Nuances", "we", "us").
These terms are provided for informational purposes. Nordic Nuances recommends consulting a qualified legal advisor for advice specific to your situation.
1. How Orders Work
You can buy The Manor directly on this website through our secure checkout. When you select Reserve The Manor and complete payment, you place an order with us. Your order — and a binding contract of sale — is formed at the moment your card payment is successfully authorised through our checkout and you receive an order confirmation on screen and by email. Submitting payment is your offer to buy; a successful authorisation is our acceptance. Browsing the site, or adding your details before payment, does not create a contract. If payment is not completed, no order is placed. In the rare event that a unit is no longer available or an obvious pricing error occurs, we may decline or cancel the affected order and issue a full refund. We will email you if this happens.
2. Price, Shipping & Tax
The price shown for The Manor is $399 USD, and that is the total price for the candle.
- Shipping is included. White-glove, crated delivery within the United States is included in the price. There is no separate shipping charge at checkout.
- Tax. Any sales tax that applies to your order is already included in the price shown — you will not be charged an additional tax amount at checkout. Where Nordic Nuances is required to collect and remit sales tax, we collect and remit it as required.
- Currency. All prices and charges are in US dollars (USD). If your card is issued outside the United States, your bank or card network converts the charge to your local currency at their own exchange rate and may add their own fees.
- International orders. For delivery outside the United States, shipping, freight, import duties, and local taxes are not included and are handled as a manual concierge quote — see Section 10. International orders are not completed through instant checkout.
3. Payment
Payments are processed securely by Helcim, our third-party payment provider, through an embedded checkout. You enter your card details directly into Helcim's secure form. Your full card number is handled by Helcim; Nordic Nuances never receives or stores your full card details. Your use of the checkout is also subject to Helcim's own terms and privacy practices.
4. Shipping & Estimated Delivery
Each Manor is hand-poured and prepared for crated, white-glove delivery. When you order, we will give you an estimated ship window. If we do not state a window, we will ship within 30 days of your paid order. If we are unable to ship within the time quoted (or within 30 days), we will: (1) notify you by email before that date; (2) offer you the option to cancel for a full refund; and (3) provide a revised estimated ship date. If we do not hear back within 30 days of a delay notice, your order will be automatically cancelled and fully refunded, per the FTC Mail, Internet, or Telephone Order Merchandise Rule (16 CFR Part 435).
5. Handmade Variation
Each Manor is individually hand-poured. Small variations in color, surface texture, and finish are natural characteristics of a handmade product and are not defects.
6. Returns & Refunds
Change of mind. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for unburned candles in their original packaging. Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. Because The Manor is large and heavy (11 kg / 25 lb), return shipping is typically expensive — please take that into account. A refund is issued to your original payment method once we receive the candle and confirm it is unused and undamaged. Damaged or defective. If your candle arrives damaged or has a structural defect, email [email protected] with a photo within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you — you will not need to ship the candle back.
7. Safety & Proper Use (ASTM F2058)
The Manor is an open-flame candle product. Burn within sight; never leave unattended. Keep a minimum 12-inch clearance from combustibles. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Trim all three wicks to 5 mm before each burn. First burn: allow the melt pool to reach the edge (2–3 hours). Do not burn more than 4 hours at a time. Stop burning when 1/2 inch of wax remains. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Do not move while lit — the wax pool is hot and the candle is heavy (25 lb / 11 kg). These warnings meet ASTM F2058.
8. California Proposition 65 Notice
⚠️ WARNING (California): Burning candles produces combustion by-products including carbon monoxide and trace particulates known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Burn in a well-ventilated area. For more information: P65Warnings.ca.gov.
9. Assumption of Risk & Limitation of Liability
The Manor is an open-flame product that carries inherent fire and burn risks. By purchasing, you acknowledge these risks and agree to follow all safety instructions in Section 7 and on the product. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nordic Nuances is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss arising from misuse, burning it unattended, or failure to follow the safety instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for the candle. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for a genuine product defect, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where applicable law does not permit such a limitation.
10. International Orders (EU / UK Consumers)
Nordic Nuances is a US-based business and primarily sells within the United States. International orders are arranged individually: contact us at [email protected] for a delivery quote before ordering, as instant checkout covers US delivery only. If we agree to ship to you outside the US, the following additional rights apply to consumers resident in the EU or UK. Right of withdrawal. You have the right to withdraw within 14 days of receiving your order, without reason (EU Directive 2011/83/EU; UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Email [email protected] with subject "Withdrawal" before the 14-day period expires. The candle must be returned unburned; return shipping is yours unless defective. Because The Manor is a standard product — not personalized — this right applies even though each Manor is prepared for dispatch after you order. Legal guarantee of conformity. EU consumers have a legal guarantee of at least 2 years from delivery (Directive 2019/771).
11. Damage in Transit
The Manor is heavy and fragile and ships in protective crating or a custom foam insert. If it arrives with transit damage, keep all packaging, photograph the packaging and the candle, and email [email protected] within 7 days of delivery. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost, and you will not need to return the damaged candle unless we ask.
12. AI Content Disclosure
Some images used in developing this website were created or enhanced with AI-assisted tools; where feasible such images are labelled in their alt text. Nordic Nuances does not use fully AI-generated photographs to misrepresent the physical product.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where you are a consumer protected by mandatory laws of your country of residence (such as EU/UK consumers under Section 10), those protections continue to apply.
