Privacy
This page explains what happens to the personal details you give us — mainly your name and email address. It is short on purpose.
Who we are
Nordic Nuances is the data controller for the information described here. For anything privacy-related, email [email protected].
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you use the Request to Buy form (or otherwise contact us to purchase The Manor), we collect your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include in your message.
- Order information. If you place an order, we also process the details needed to fulfil it, such as your shipping address. Payment is handled by our payment provider; we do not store full card details.
- Technical / analytics data. [Only if you run analytics. If Google Analytics 4 and/or the Meta Pixel are active on this site, they may collect a truncated IP address, browser type, approximate location, and pages visited. State here which (if any) are active — and delete this bullet entirely if you run none.]
Why we collect it
- To respond to your request to buy and arrange your purchase.
- To process and ship your order.
- If analytics are active: to understand site traffic and campaign performance.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only pass your details to the service providers who help us operate (listed below), under contract.
Legal basis (for EU / UK visitors)
- Responding to your purchase request and fulfilling your order: necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and then to perform that contract.
- Keeping records of a sale: our legitimate interest and, where applicable, our legal obligations (such as tax and accounting records).
- Any optional marketing, or analytics where active: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (analytics consent is requested separately via the cookie banner).
Where the data goes
- Purchase-request and order data is handled by the email/CRM tool we use to manage messages and our list [name your provider here, e.g. Mailchimp]. These providers process the data on our behalf, under contract, and only to deliver the service to us.
- [If analytics are active:] Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd (GA4) and/or Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Meta Pixel). Both operate under standard contractual clauses for EU/UK data transfers.
We are based in the United States, so if you contact us from the EU, UK, or elsewhere, your data will be processed in the US.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact and order details for as long as needed to handle your purchase, and we may keep basic sales records longer where tax or accounting rules require it. Beyond that, we don't keep your data longer than necessary. Analytics data (if active) is kept according to the tool's own retention settings. You can ask us to delete your details at any time, though we may need to retain limited sales records to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
EU / EEA / UK visitors (GDPR). You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your details
- Stop using your details / withdraw consent
- Send you a copy in a portable format
- Object to processing for direct marketing
Email [email protected]. We'll respond within one month, as required by the GDPR.
US visitors (CCPA / CPRA and other state laws). If you are a resident of California, Texas, Virginia, or another US state with an active consumer privacy law, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Delete it
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
Email [email protected] to exercise any of these. We'll respond within the time your state law requires (generally 45 days). We do not currently sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — if that ever changes, we will add a clear "Your Privacy Choices" opt-out and update this page.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you give us. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we limit access to your details to what's needed to help you.
Complaints
If you think we've handled your data badly:
- EU / EEA: Complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) or your local EU data protection authority.
- UK: Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
- US: Contact the FTC or your state attorney general.
Changes
If anything material here changes, we'll update the date at the top. The current version is the one you're reading.
